Omar Dieguez

Omar Eduardo Dieguez is a dedicated community leader, youth mentor, radio host, and advocate rooted in service, culture, and healing. Through his work with Barrios Unidos, he empowers young people with leadership skills, guidance, and a safe space to grow. As a Positive Discipline facilitator and court advocate, he supports youth and families by building strong relationships, promoting accountability, and guiding them through challenging systems with compassion and respect, while prioritizing mental health, healing, and overall well-being for young people.

He is also the host of “From The Streets” on KSQD 90.7, a community radio show that uplifts local voices, shares powerful stories, and brings awareness to issues impacting the community.

Omar is an active member of Safe Ag Safe Schools (SASS), the CORA movement, and California Pesticide Reform, where he advocates against harmful pesticide use and fights for environmental justice. He works to push for stronger air monitoring, 1-mile buffer zones near schools, and full transparency around spray days, including exact locations, to protect communities—especially farmworkers, youth, and families.

Grounded in indigenous teachings and ceremonies, Omar integrates cultural healing practices into his work, creating spaces for reflection, connection, and transformation. Guided by the spirit of “Sí Se Puede,” his life’s mission is to uplift youth, strengthen families, and protect healthy food, clean water, safe air, and Mother Earth for future generations through education, advocacy, and love in action.
