Trish Clarkweiss

Certification Director

Trish has dedicated her career to building soil and promoting organic farming practices with twenty years of teaching organic farming methods and passionately creating solutions for food and land access. Trish was the co-founder of New Roots Urban Farm in St. Louis and was the first regional coordinator building out a new program for Lincoln University, The Innovative Small Farm Outreach Program which serves BIPOC farmers throughout Missouri. For the past decade and a half she has managed the annual production at Sandhill Farm, an organic collective farm and land project nestled in the rolling hills of Northeast Missouri. In 2017, Trish began inspecting organic farms for a number of accredited Midwestern Organic Certification companies until becoming the Team Lead for an Organic Certification Team at OEFFA. She is steeped in the NOP standards and brings to ROP her experiences with all aspects of the organic certification process - as a certified operator, inspector, and as the certification reviewer. She likes growing turmeric, canning food and plunging into icy cold waters.
