We grow vegetables and flowers for our community on a little over an acre of no-till beds in Wilbraham, MA. We use an ecosystem approach to farming based on the idea that diversity is key to building resilience. We use compost, cover crops, and organic fertilizers to feed the soil. We use crop rotations, row covers, and beneficial insects to prevent pests from getting out of control. These practices enable us to grow a wide variety of high-quality, flavor-packed, nutrient-rich vegetables in a relatively small space.
