Caroline Wright
Midwest Regional Inspector
Caroline encountered organic farming in 2014 while she was studying Sociology at Macalester College. The experience of working alongside people outside, with her mind and body, growing food, was such a beautiful contrast to studying the impacts of the Industrial Revolution on society -- which largely disconnects people from the origins of kindness and things – from the art of craft and connection. She was drawn in to the counter-cultural revolution that real organic farming is, leading to seven years of work in farming and food justice initiatives, including co-founding a small organic vegetable farm, Good Neighbor Farm, with her partner in Ann Arbor, MI in 2021. Caroline’s favorite part of farming is connecting with her community through the long labor, and bringing people who have never encountered farming, into that work. She comes to Real Organic Project eager to learn, connect with farmers as the Midwest Regional Inspector, and contribute to the movement’s efforts to support and cultivate the integrity of the real organic movement. In her spare time, you can find Caroline making pottery, growing flowers & veggies, loving on her friends & family, and adventuring with her pup
