OEFFA Certification Program Manager

Kate Pierfelice is a dedicated Certification Program Manager with a strong background in leadership and program management. With a B.S. in Plant Biology from Ohio University and an M.S. in Forestry from Auburn University, she has cultivated a deep understanding of the agricultural and environmental sectors.

Currently overseeing the Organic Handler Certification program at the Ohio Ecological Food and Farm Association (OEFFA), Kate has been instrumental in expanding the handler program, increasing its impact, and enhancing the quality of certification services. Her expertise in organic certification processes is complemented by her leadership skills and strategic oversight of various certification initiatives. Kate’s professional expertise also includes ensuring compliance with industry standards and fostering positive client relationships.

Outside of her professional accomplishments, Kate is passionate about sustainability and stays engaged with nature though woodland hikes and local environmental groups.
