Lucy Enge

Midwest Regional Organizer and Inspector

Lucy Enge (she/her) is dedicated to building and supporting resilient food systems coming from a background of political, agricultural, and educational work. Truly great food (from growing and buying to cooking and eating) is a constant throughout her life. She is passionate about the intersection of food and farming, politics, and religion. Lucy holds a BA with a double major in Political Science with a concentration in Food Policy and Agriculture Advocacy and Religion and Philosophy with a concentration in Peace and Nonviolence from Wilmington College and a MA in Peace and Social Transformation from Earlham School of Religion. She has worked on small sustainable and organic farms in Ohio and Connecticut and, most recently, managed Earlham College’s Miller Farm in Richmond, Indiana, which she got certified organic and Real Organic Certified. Lucy is a member of the Wilmington College Board of Trustees and co-clerks the Quaker Governance and Engagement Committee at the Friends Committee on National Legislation.

An eighth generation Ohioan, Lucy is based in southwest Ohio. When she is not enthusiastically buying tomatoes at her local farmers market and cooking for family and friends, she can be found knitting her latest sweater project, planning her next international trip, or checking out more books from the library.
