Saving Real Organic

Dave Chapman founded and ran Long Wind Farm in Thetford, VT. After 41 years, he is passing that responsibility on to Seth Schmiedeknecht. Dave is co-founder and Co-Director of the Real Organic Project. He was a co-founder of the movement to Keep The Soil In Organic. He is a founding member of the Vermont Organic Farmers. He served on the Policy Committee of the Organic Farmers Association. He served on the USDA Hydroponic Task Force.

Dave is well known for his work with the Real Organic Podcast, where he and Co-Director Linley Dixon have interviewed over 300 farmers, eaters, chefs, scientists, activists, and troublemakers. The Real Organic Podcast has gotten over a million views and several awards. He also writes a weekly letter with Linley which has gotten over 2 million opens.
