Liz Graznak

Liz Graznak is a Columbia Missouri native whose love of gardening and the outdoors is the result of time spent outside with her grandparents growing up. After graduating with a Master’s Degree in Plant Breeding from Cornell University, Liz worked on numerous small scale farms around the country and in November 2007 Liz & her wife Katie purchased and started Happy Hollow Farm located in the rolling hills along the Missouri River. The initial Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) model provided Liz the opportunity to fulfill her long anticipated goal of growing beautiful, healthy food and sharing it with a community of people that also support her enthusiasm and commitment to a local food system. Now with two daughters, Liz and her amazing team are entering the farm’s 15 th year of production. What started as a small ¼ acre operation has grown to a 20+ acre highly diversified year round USDA certified organic and REAL Organic certified vegetable and ornamental cut flower farm. Happy Hollow Farm sells thru an 85 member CSA, year round at the Columbia Farmers Market, to a number of local Columbia restaurants and grocery stores and has expanded sales to the broader mid-Missouri area. Liz served on the board of the Missouri Organic Association for 4 years and in 2022 Liz served for 1 year as the Environmental Protection and Resource Conservation Representative on the National Organic Standards Board. She is currently serving as an Executive Board Member on the Real Organic Project. Liz’s commitment and dedication to the world of sustainable, healthy, organic and the highest standards of production possible is evident in the work she does on her farm every day.
